Micro-weddings, mini-monies, elopements; there are all sorts of ways to describe a smaller wedding. What we like most about the trend toward more personal and intimate weddings is that it frees us up to be 100% present with you and your guests. That’s why we made the conscious decision to limit all of our wedding packages to a truly micro-wedding size. Whether it’s just y’all two, or y’all two and twenty-five, we have the perfect package for you.
If you need accommodations The Appalachian Wedding Chapel shares the same lovely old house and property as Basswood , the town of Capon Bridge’s premier boutique hotel. With a little advance planning, you and your guests can book any of Basswood’s five (5) beautifully decorated suites, then hold your wedding on our grounds overlooking the Cacapon River. Note: You do not have to stay at Basswood to have your ceremony at the Appalachian Wedding Chapel, and there are a number of reception venue locations close by.
The Cacapon Package at AWC 1000.00
The Cacapon Package is our most budget friendly option for a modestly sized wedding. Perfect for groups of up to 20. Choose from any of our secular or light religious ceremonies for a wedding you and your guests will never forget. You’ll have the comfort of our complete support as we work together with you to craft your special day, providing coordination with our Trusted Vendors, and guiding you, your guests and your wedding party through a flawless day.
The Cacapon Package includes:
- All of our basic amenities
- 2.5 hours on site with unlimited access to grounds for photography (extra flexibility for Basswood guests)
- Secular or light religious ceremony
- Day of coordination and coordination with vendors
- Seating for 20 (20.00 ea. addl. guest, maximum 5)
- 2 non-alcoholic hot or cold refreshments (tea, lemonade, coffee etc. )
- Event and vendor coordination
- Indoors or out
- No charge rehearsal
- Decoration (remember to talk with us about your colors)
- Loaner bouquet and boutonniere
- Dressing area provided
- Framed decorative certificate
- Bound copy of ceremony
- Use of video tripod, bluetooth speaker
- Legal signing and return of your provided marriage license
- Ceremonial ribbon tying at our “wedding ring”

The Shenandoah Package at AWC 2250.00
For an all-inclusive and personalized wedding, our Shenandoah Package is our most popular option. With all of our basic amenities, the Shenandoah also includes two hours of professional photography, a beautifully-made cake serving 25 from local bakery, Garden of Knead’n, ceremony personalization and unity ceremony, and premium decoration.

- Expanded 25 – 30 minute personalized ceremony

Spanish Language officiating / translating $150.00
We are enormously happy to partner with our friend and local colleague, Ori Largent. Ori is one of the finest officiants we know, and she is available to officiate or translate your ceremony in Spanish. Must book in advance.

At the Appalachian Wedding Chapel we offer all sorts of different Unity Ceremonies to help make your wedding all the more meaningful and special, and we’re very proud of the many beautiful, locally crafted ceremonial accessories we carry in our Boutique just for that purpose. From handfasting cords to handwashing vessels, candles to two – spouted pottery vases, there is a long list of unique ways to truly personalize your ceremony.
