Whether it’s just the two of you for a same-day elopement, or if you’re looking for a more substantial ceremony with up to 50 guests, The Appalachian Wedding Chapel has just the right ceremony to fit any budget. 

The Appalachian Wedding Chapel is at Basswood , the town of Capon Bridge’s premier Airbnb. With a little advance planning, you and your guests can book any of Basswood’s five (5) beautifully decorated suites, then hold your wedding on the grounds overlooking the Cacapon River. Note: You do not have to stay at Basswood to have your ceremony at the Appalachian Wedding Chapel, and there are a number of reception venue locations close by. 

Nestled beside these healing waters, The Appalachian Wedding Chapel has 2 basic wedding packages to choose from. 

 

The Cacapon Package at AWC                                                                  $1250.00

 

The Cacapon Package is our most budget friendly option for a modestly sized wedding. Perfect for groups of about 24, choose from any of our secular or light religious ceremonies, and we’ll perform a ceremony that you and your guests will never forget. You’ll have the comfort of our complete support as we work together with you to craft your special day, providing coordination with our Trusted Vendors, and guiding you, your guests and your wedding party through a flawless day. 

The Cacapon Package includes: 

• 2 hours on site 
• 20 minute, pre-prepared ceremony
• Day of coordination, coordination with vendors  
• Seating and light refreshments for 24 (10.00 ea. addl. guest, max. 50) 
• Your choice indoor/outdoor, pergola or gazebo
• Complimentary loaner bouquet, boutonniere
• Bluetooth, video tripod access
• Complimentary decoration
• Unlimited access via virtual meetings
• Legal signing and license administration
• Bound copy of ceremony, commemorative certificate
• Requires $300 non-refundable deposit to secure your date

 

The Shenandoah Package at AWC                                                                             $1750.00

For a truly memorable and personalized wedding, our Shenandoah Package is our most popular option. We begin with a questionnaire which asks: What do you love most about your partner? and What does marriage mean to you? From these, and other questions like them, we craft a ceremony that quite often reflects your own words back, making it uniquely yours. 

The inclusion of a unity ceremony or handfasting is another way couples give their wedding a personal touch. The Shenandoah Package includes any of the wide variety of special ceremonies we perform. Have a special cultural ceremony you’d like to add? We’re happy to perform the ceremony at no additional charge.

The addition of a stone-blessing can be a great way to bring family and friends into the ceremony. Let your inner (or outer) Irish shine with a Celtic Handfasting – one of our most popular wedding ceremonies. Create a lasting memento of your blended family with a tree-planting or unity glass ceremony. Combine brightly colored sands with your children to create a unique artistic memento you’ll treasure forever. The Shenandoah Package includes not only the unity ceremonies we perform, but also the necessary ceremonial accessories we carry in our Boutique: Hand-fasting cords, drinking vessels, two-spout wedding vases, teapots, hand-carved spoons and spades, and more; all locally crafted, and perfect for your special wedding.
