Are you the spontaneous type? Good news! There is no waiting period in Virginia and West Virginia! Many of our clients get their license from the local courthouse and get married the same day!
Even with just a day or two notice we can meet you at the location of your choice to perform a short ceremony, then sign and complete the legal filing of your license. As a keepsake of your special day, we’ll even bring a gift – a nicely printed and bound booklet of the ceremony and commemorative certificate of marriage.
Better yet, save some money and enjoy a nice relaxing drive to the wild and wonderful! Come to The Appalachian Wedding Chapel & Boutique at 2925 Northwestern Pike in Capon Bridge, WV, and we’ll marry you beside the beautiful Cacapon River. If you prefer, or if the weather is less than ideal we have an charming indoor option as well.
Here’s a look at our elopement packages:
Y’all Two and No Otters: 165.00
Just like it sounds, this is our most basic package.
Come as you are. Bring your marriage license, (obtained from any county courthouse in WV.), the two of you, and we will happily perform a heartfelt and meaningful ceremony including all of the traditional elements such as the Celebrant’s Words on Love and Marriage, the Expression of Intent, Exchange of Rings and Vows. and the Pronouncement of Marriage. Y’all Two and No Otters includes:
- One hour on site
- Access to dressing area
- Indoors or outside by the beautiful Cacapon River
- Bound copy of your ceremony
- Complimentary photograph
- Framed decorative certificate
- Legal signing and return of your license to the court
- Use of video tripod and bluetooth speaker for music
- Decoration (please make sure you talk with us about colors)
- Loaner bouquet and boutonniere
- Ceremonial ribbon tying at our “wedding ring”
- We’ll even play music from your playlist and take a few photos if you have not hired one of our professionals (it’s ok to bring your own photographer)
- Extra guests are 20.00 each. Limit 5
We ask for a 50.00 deposit to secure your date
Y’all Two and Six Otters: A mini-mony for up to 6 guests 325.00
Inviting some guests? This package is an excellent value for a small gathering of those closest to you. Y’all Two and Six Otters includes all of the same amenities as above plus
- Seating for up to 6 guests (20.00 for each addl. guest, maximum 11)
- 1 cold or hot N/A beverage included
- 6″ cake from our local baker, Garden of Knead’n
Need hair and makeup services, live flowers, live music or an hour of professional photography? We can provide that too.
We ask for a $50.00 deposit to secure your date.
Y’all Two and Twelve Otters: A Micro-wedding for 12 650.00
Have a larger pack of family and friends? Want a little more time to celebrate your day? Our Y’all Two and Twelve Otters Micro-wedding includes all of our basic amenities plus
- 2 hours on site
- 2 hot or cold N/A beverages
- Seating for up to 12 guests ($20.00 each additional guest, max 7)
- First dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss
- 8″ round, 2-layer wedding cake and 1 non-alcoholic beverage.
- Plates, silverware, napkins, cups included
- Cake service included
We ask for a $100.00 deposit to secure your date
Spanish Language officiating / translating $150.00
We are enormously happy to partner with our friend and local colleague, Ori Largent. Ori is one of the finest officiants we know, and she is available to officiate or translate your ceremony in Spanish. Must book in advance.
